Coco chips by Biovita is a natural product created by grinding coconut shells and coconut fibers. It is free from any chemical additives. It can be used as a stand-alone substrate or as a supplement to other substrates. Mixed with the soil, it loosens it and aerates it.

Chips and coconut fiber are used e.g. as a substrate in terrariums, aquariums, animal husbandry and crops.

Coconut chips are an ideal and recommended substrate for growing orchids.

Benefits:

- they are lighter than peat,

- they absorb water well (regulate the water balance, coconut fibers behave like a sponge),

- they absorb nutrients well with water and release them gradually,

- facilitate the development of roots,

Coconut chips themselves do not contain too many nutrients, so if they are used to grow plants, it is recommended to combine them with organic fertilizer.
